The Hamas wanting a role in controlling the border crossing of their own land really worth Israel continuing?
The current Egyptian truce proposal is that the Hamas stop all rocket attacks, Israel withdraws and the opening of some border crossings. The Hamas will accept if they can play some role in controlling their own border crossing. Anyone who has had to cross the border in the last 5 years will be able to understand why the Hamas want a role in controlling that border. How can Israel say that the Hamas having a role(a role, not overseeing it completely) in controlling the border of their own state is worth refusing if it means more deaths of civilians and children??
