Can I put books on my nook color through my computer?

I don't have wifi at my house, so I can't get books on my nook color very conveniently. I was wondering if I could put books on it through my computer. I do have the nook app for PC, if that helps. I figured out that if I download the purchased book to my desktop, I can put it in my books file on my nook color, but it doesn't show up in my library. Is there a way to put them on my bookshelf along with my other books for free? If so, how do I do that? Thanks!!
