Do you think the Republican name has been tarnished?

Recently, I've seen a major increase in Democrat rants. I've heard them say, "Republicans haven't read a history book" or "When are they going to acknowledge Democrats are trying to clean up the mess?" This is all garbage they are a respectable party, but without a doubt, they had quite a few bad apples. Basically my question is "Do you think the Republican name is tarnished from its former state?"
