Can you be prescribed medicinal marijuana in Ireland, is there such a thing?

I guess it would be prescribed for pain prevention? I was recently diagnosed with something called TMJ a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporomandibular_joint_disorder" rel="nofollow"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporomand…/a and while being prescribed Ponstan (Ponstal in the US) it doesn't seem to work very well - it did for the first week but not as well anymore for some reason? I heard of Percocet but a doctor who I mentioned it to here in Ireland said he personally wouldn't prescribe it as it's addictive. Thanks.
