Father of the Bride help??

I am getting married on July 5th of 2008, so I have less than 3 months to go. My fiance and I visited my dad yesterday to talk some wedding business with them. My dad refuses to do a father and daughter dance. He'll just laugh and say,"I'm not dancing with you." It's like a joke to him and I can't get him to understand that it's important to me. Even my stepmother couldn't get him to understand that it's important to me. Last year when we were first starting our planning I practically had to beg him just to even walk me down the isle. Yesterday I asked my stepmother if she would like to be seated by my dad and she said yes. So I tried to explain to my dad that what he would do is walk her down the isle and walk back up the side of the pews to come and get me. So he made the remark,"If I walk down once I'm not walking down again." It really seems like he doesn't want to be part of my wedding. He seems to get along with my fiance well. Any advice? Am I making too much of a deal of this?
