My grand daughter has severe skin break down on her cheeks caused from her bowel movements.?

She was born with no , had to have one surgically constructed, sphincter muscles are not yet tight enough to hold in the bowel movement, has a lot of accidents. She can only drink water or milk, maybe some gatorade. No sugars. Bananas is the only fruit she can have. If we can control the bowel movements down to 1 or 2 a day the skin will slowly start to heal but it has never been 100% healed, she always some open ulcers on her skin in this area. We have tried numerous remedies from Doctors to folk remedies, home made pastes. In Sept of 2010 we had some success with "XEROFORM" petrolatum dressing with Bismuth Tibromophenate from a wound specialist, this worked for about 4 months but it has not been working as well since january. This is an open wound and causes great discomfort for our 3 year old grand daughter. Any advice you may would be greatly appreciated.

Its good that you realize that this might be having an effect on her as well, and you should continue to recognize that. Ok she is my sister in law and actually she is really friendly and nice ot my family but there have been a couple of occasions where I thought she was sort of 'mean' or setting the terms of the relationship and I didn't want a part of that so now I keep my distance and keep her at arms length. So I am a shy person but if I offer to help or do something nice she would say 'you just stay quiet' and she is sort of 'fake laughing' and she catches my hands and sort of throws them at me which I felt was sort of a feeling of rejection and 'you're worthless' kind of gesture (nobody listens to me when I speak in the family as i am the youngest so I am sort of powerless in that regard and I felt she saw that dynamic and took advantage of it). I thought it was really rude and she was kind of being an . From these two incidents I just decided that I did not want to be her 'friend' because it inevitably means for me to be this person that she disrespects with impunity because my family could not care less (they would do it too)..My mother gives me grief now when she calls over because I hardly give her the time of day. I am civil and nice and polite when I see her. I may even chat or listen to her chat as she is very talkative but generally I keep my distance because I think she will disrespect me in the future.

Hello! There are lots of websites with affordable diapers besides green mountain which you have listed above. In fact, there are so many (I have found them) that depending on what you need to buy-say for instance prefolds then type into Google cloth diapers and up will pop tons of sites-then you will have to compare prices. I would suggest that you join the Yahoo Group Green Mountain Diapers b/c those ladies (most of them) are so good about answering questions and know way more than I do about cloth diapering. I am a member of this group and have received great answers to my questions. You do not have to buy diapers from Green Mountain in order to join the group. Just a note, usually over Prefold diapers you put a cover. Liners can be washed after use if the baby has just wet on them a little. They are great for removing a dirty mess from a diaper-just remove the liner and flush (you can buy some that are flushable) and then you won't have such a dirty mess on the cloth diaper. I personally think Indian & Chinese prefolds are better. They are easier to fold and they are also cheaper. I have included a bunch of websites regarding cloth diapers that I have found helpful in the past. Hope this helps a little!

I am 16 going on 17 in december and my girlfriend turned 16 in march. She lived here and went to my school and we met near the beginning of the school year. during the summer of last year she moved away to a different state 600 miles away. We do get the chance to fly out and see each other during breaks and I took her to her homecoming near the beginning of the year. She has cheated on me once before when we were in a major fight (it was only a kiss from what she told me) and she ended up breaking up with me for him and they did a lot. She has broken up with me multiple times once for her church (she used to be mormon when she lived here) and a few others cuz of fights. other than the church time she has been with a guy right after for about a week or 2 before coming back to me. Once was cuz she promised a friend she would give it a try and another to stop her self from getting back with me right away cuz she wanted some time apart. She has told me when she likes other guys before but recently I haven't heard anything like that. Over the past 2 weeks she has spent a lot of time with one of her guy friends that she's close to. And whenever she's with any friend guy or girl she doesn't text me and ignores me most of the time but she can spend a good like 6 and a half hours at this guys house without texting me only getting home in time to tell me goodnight. And once last week she tried to go up to his family cabin with him and his family but his family didn't go so it would've just been them but they got stuck in the weather and he called his dad to tow them back down the mountain. She called to tell me that they got stuck on the way up there and her phone was dying so she couldn't talk and she called me when she finally got home around 10 to 10:30 to tell me goodnight. She tells me when she's going over (and she generally doesn't care when she does something that bothers me when she knows cuz she does it anyways and says she's going to anyways) and she uses guilt and making me feel bad most of the time to get what she wants. I do believe she loves me when she tells me and I love her more than anything else in the world. I just need some insight from people who don't know us personally and wont take sides cuz of it. I know it sounds bad and I do have my gut feelings when something bad like her breaking up with me is going to happen and they haven't been wrong. (I call it the fall break feeling cuz that's the first time i had it and the first time we broke up) I have had it but a little differently and it tells me she might be cheating on me and/or have feelings for this friend. Somethings that may help is she get's jealous really easy she stops me from being friends with some people one girl who she got in a fight with and is no longer friends with is my sister basically. She has accused me of cheating many times and used it to break up with me the most recent time even though anyone who knows me knows i couldn't bring myself to do something like that no matter what. I don't want to confront her about it because she has a tendency to blow things up in my face and i detest the fights. I really just need to know what to do.

Large young Dog pounces the Small older Dog?

I have a big young dog that loves to pounce on our little older dog. Both are female. In dog years it is a 7 year old Great Dane/Boxer mix with a 91 year old Maltese. i swear, this just happened to me saturday night. before i went to work my cat was laying down. he was never sick and no heath problems. i then came home from work and i found him in his cat bed curled up asleep but he was dead. his eyes were open a little but sometimes cats sleep with their eyes rolled back. but he was gone. i looked around the house and their was nothing that he could have gotten into or nothing. i too, was unable to get to a vet becuase this happened sat night, every vet was closed sunday. so i ended up burying him. ive also read about possible being heart attack or heart worms..but its all so confusing for me. he was only 3 so he was a very young kitty taken from me. i hope we both find the answer we are looking for for our sudden deaths of our loved ones...

Oh they've all done a fantastic job! Emma Watson is in fact my favorite actress and Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are my favorite actors and I would never want the movies any other way. Okay... my family tells me that i am brilliant but do not "try hard". The only reason why i got good grades in the past is b/c my parents basically did my hw for me and wrote my essays. I do not try as hard as I "could" b/c i am stupid which makes me not motivated. I like chemistry, biology, psychology, and creative writing (the ONE thing I am good at) and thats about it. Truthfully, i hate schoolwork and learning for the most part. In math cl, I would stay for extra help 2-3 times a week AND have a tutor, and still get D's and F's on the tests. I was in REGULAR math, but now I am in no math, and senior year (next year) i am taking a very basic review math course. My family is OBSESSED with education, and tells me i should focus on my brains. But how the hell could i focus on my BRAINS if i am soo dumb? I am now "clified" at school and take a study skills cl (this is very beneficial). My peers tell me that i am stupid but REALLY funny. For w.e. reason, adults think that i am the bright, studious type. The past year, i went from dork to diva, and am quite obsessed with my looks. I always try to be y with my clothes, and it IS my genuine style. I always look EVERY reflective surface that i see (even windows and car doors). But there is a problem, if i do not look good (liek if my zits arent covered, if my hair looks sh***ty, if i am bloated, if my pants look baggy) i feel inferior to other girls, and feel terrible about myself. My father has ruined my faith in humanity. What am I supposed to tell my children?

I'm having a really difficult time coping with life. I'm 24 and I was raised by the man I thought was my father my whole life. I loved (still love) him very much. He was a great dad and my best friend. He had always told me my mother died in childbirth and I believed him. He was arrested for child molestation and several counts of 2 years ago. I was so confused. My father had never ever hurt me so I didn't understand how that could of happen. I didn't want to believe it but the evidence against him was over whelming and he later confessed. He was a principle of one the schools in the city and over a period of about 15 years he violently abused a countless number of children. I felt disgusted and angry. I mean, he was there when my daughter was born and had babysat her countless times. All I could think about was what he could have done to her (she's 3). I was enraged with him and destroyed every picture of him and everything he had ever given me. I never wanted to see him again. I took my daughter to every doctor I could find to see if he had hurt her and tried to talk to her and ask if he had done something inappropriate to her but thank goodness he hadn't. Before my father went to prison, he confessed that I wasn't his child but he had kidnapped me when I was about 2. I thought I was dreaming and wanted to wake up. Why in the hell would he tell me that? I honestly would have rather died than know that. Since I always thought my mother died in childbirth, I felt in was my fault she was dead and I very much wanted a mother and to find out the only parent I ever known was a monster made me feel all alone. Any decency I thought he had left was gone. I never saw him again and that was a little over a year ago. I had a private investigator look into what he had told me and after some months he found who he believes are my real parents. The story they gave the police matched the one my father told me in every detail. I chose not to contact them. I don't think I'm emotionally ready to let anyone in my life right now. The only person I've told this to is my husband and he's been very supportive. I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old boy. I don't know how I'll ever explain this to them. I started therapy a week ago but will I ever get past all of this drama?

Why is Haagen Dazs ice cream so high in fat?

When I looked at the nutrition info on Haagen Dazs Ice cream, it was so high in fat and saturated fat. (excluding the light ones, the sorbet, and the frozen yogurt) I mean, I'm talking 35-55% of the Daily Value. And a lot of their ice creams/other products don't use sooo much ingredients! They all seem so natural, they use eggs, cream, SKIM milk, sugar, and whatever the flavor is (for example chocolate) and a few others. Even Haagen Dazs Five, which is only made up of five ingredients (egg, sugar, skim milk, cream, and whatever the flavor is (for example brown sugar), is high in fat. And Haagen Dazs ice cream has 10-20% of the Daily Value of Calcium, Vitamin D, and Vitamin C. So I don't get why they are so high in fat. BTW i have never tried Haagen Dazs ice cream, I've only looked at the labels, but I really want to try it. I mean people say it's really luxurious. But why why is it high in fat? Do they use whole milk or skim milk? Please answer! thanks. I am simply curious, I'm not against Haagen Dazs or their ice cream, in fact I've yet to try it! =)

I personally believe that whether or not MJ was addicted is not the issue because doctors have a duty to say "No" to their patients when their requests are counterindicated. I believe this is especially the case when dealing with an addict, whom is reasonable to expect will engage in drug seeking behaviors. I also believe it was negligent to use a drug for something other than it's intended and generally approved use, especially in combination with other drugs which magnified the effects of that drug, and then ignore the caution of remaining bedside to monitor the patient on top of everything else. I also believe it's gross negligence not to give the paramedics and hospital to which MJ was rushed information on all drugs given simply to safe guard one's a*s. It may not have made a difference but then again it may have and even if MJ was an addict, being addicted is not worthy of a death sentence but failing to exercise due care when one knows or should know better is criminally negligent. I straighten my hair quite a lot now, and I don't know if these signs are pointing to hair damage. I sport short hair now, back then, before I straighten, my hair would become straight when it is wet. Nowadays...it curls MORE after it gets wet (By A LOT) Is this because the straightening effect is just wearing off and the hair just wants to curl, or the hair is damaged? College cheer with no high experience?

I had a knee injury freshman year that has basically prevented me from doing any physical activities for my high school career. I will be a senior this year, and I think my knee is FINALLY strong enough for me to be able to move! I had severe abdominal pain a couple weeks ago. Do you know what a mesentery is?

Background: I've had a lot of stomach surgeries for weight loss, and had a subtotal colectomy. After one surgery I started getting bad bloating and constipation. That's been going on for 5 years and I have to be careful about what I eat, that it's ground up because of this problem. I pretty much recline all the time in a chair since I've had this problem. A couple weeks ago I had a horrible pain in my lower right abdomen. I went to the ER and they did a CT. They said the mesentery was hazy in the first CT. Then they ordered another CT with contrast, but this was 8 hours after the pain started and by this time it actually stopped. This CT showed no problems. I've had other tests and nothing showed anything. Upper GI with small bowel follow through showed nothing. Colonoscopy, Endoscopy showed nothing. I did have a sitz marker test that showed a delay as I didn't p the markers for over 14 days. That's when I had the subtotal colectomy. I just can't believe that I can't get normal again. This past 5 years has been horrible having to deal with this. I don't know what the mesentery actually is for sure...if it's the artery or what. If it is the artery, can that go away. Could the haziness have been a partial bloackage which is how it felt to me.

My situation: So, my dad makes a lot of money and has an expensive car and everything, but, for a multitude of reasons, he's not going to help pay my tuition. food is crappy, seats are a little better than united. you can request a special meal if the standard chicken or beef meal is not what you are looking for. They generally have games/movies/and music for entertainment with the screen on the seat in front of you. If they have an economy/coach plus section for seating try to pick that. It will cost a bit more, or you can use sky miles, to purchase. I'd go online and check out the seating ahead of time to see what you are in for! Always pick your seat or you will be sitting next to the flight attendants service area way in the back. Nothing worse than hearing dishes/trays/doors slamming through out the trip!

Anyone knows about rainbow/sunbeam snakes?

I have a rainbow/sunbeam snake (Xenopeltis unicolor) which I put in a big aquarium with damp sand and water. I also put a small wooden rounded jar inside and now the snake won't come out from it. I know that rainbow snakes live in burrows and dark places, but how do I know if it's still alive? Is it sleeping, laying eggs, or what?I don't even know if it's a male or female. And from the internet, I found out that this snake needs humidity, and the inside of the jar is dry (I wonder if the water in the aquarium helps). Can cats get amnesia?

He won't eat, drink, use the litter box, and he keeps panting. We took him to the vet and they don't see anything wrong with him. He's not even two years old yet. My sister has cerebral palsy and isn't very smart sometimes, and she smashed him with a clothes hamper, I didn't see him the whole day and I became worried. I found him behind some boards in the laundry room and put him on the bed. He wouldn't move or act like he used to. The next day he just started hissing at us and biting at us. He hid under the love seat in our living room and he never came out from under there. Then we took him to the vet and they are keeping him over night. He used to be the sweetest kitty he would always just rub against everyone and loved being the center of attention and after my sister did that he became anti social and just started scaring us by hissing and biting. He's a Scottish fold cat. This was the first time he's ever hissed at anyone or bit someone in a non playing way.

Even if you can demonstrate English and academic abilities you still have two more hurdles. Why do my testicles hurt?
